April 2017 

4-17-17 to 4-22-17: Dwyer's Sustainability Team is partnering with our Student Government to facilitate Dwyer's first annual Earth Week! The week starts out with themed days, including Black Out Day and BYOB (Bring Your Own Bottle) day, and ends with a team sponsored beach cleanup at Carlin Park in Juno Beach, Florida. March 2017 

3-1-17: The water fillers have finally been installed! They are located in the 2000 building of our school, one upstairs and one downstairs! 

3-6-17: The Team has approved an amazing opportunity to partner with our school's Student Government to facilitate Dwyer's first Earth Week! The week will take place from Monday April 17th to Saturday April 22nd. There will be a Dwyer Sustainability Team sponsored beach cleanup in Juno Beach, Florida on Earth Day Saturday April 22nd.  


February 2017

2-6-17: The EZ Water Fillers have arrived! The next step is to contact the district to get them installed and then they will be up and running. Stay tuned to see them after installation! 

2-23-17: Our team submitted two videos to the World of 7 billion video contest. We focused on climate change and rapid urbanization/urban sprawl. Check them out on the left column of the website!

January 2017

​1-1-17: New Year... New Goals! This year we want to set goals that will further our mission and allow us to spread our message to more students in the local community. We plan on entering in an educational environmental contest and starting plans for an Earth Week at our school. Also, check out our newly published videos and explore our updated website!

11-19-16: Dwyer's Sustainability Team took a trip to the Solid Waste Authority's plant located in West Palm Beach, Florida to celebrate America Recycles Day and learn about the plant's efforts in sustainability. 

11-1-16: Two team members recently conducted a mini scientific experiment to compare the quality of Dwyer's tap water to Florida Spring water, Dasani water, and water from a member's refrigerator filter. Using pH testing strips and other measurements, the results concluded that Dwyer had the cleanest water!

​12-13-16: Recently, the team applied for a grant from the We Are Dwyer Foundation to fund an installation of two EZ water filling stations in our school. The grant was accepted and the machines will be installed before February 1st! ​Please see the above tab "Our Projects" to learn more!
